A hot, hard race from Barmouth to Penmaenpool and back in the Mawddach marathon. Lots of familiar faces there. Settled into 4th place behind David Hattan, Ben Edom and Stephen marnell who were all together on the outward run with Richard Humphries behind me. Pushed hard after the turn and caught the three in front to take the lead for a while. They scrambled to get on my wake as I overtook. Ben and David made it but dropped Stephen in the process.

I ran out of steam into the wind a little later though and they pulled away from me and Stephen caught me too putting me back in 4th again as we crossed the line.
